The short version
- Know My Meals estimates the nutrition of what you eat. Estimates can be wrong, and it isn’t medical advice.
- It’s for adults (18+).
- It’s a paid subscription, monthly or yearly, with no free trial. You pay and cancel through the App Store or Google Play.
- Your logs are yours. You can download them or delete your account any time.
- Nothing here takes away your rights as a consumer under the law.
1. About these terms
These terms are an agreement between you and Samarth Mamadapur, an individual developer based in the Netherlands (“we”, “us”), for your use of the Know My Meals (formerly VoiceFit) app and this website. By creating an account or using the app you accept them. Our privacy policy explains how we handle your data.
2. The service
Know My Meals lets you log food by typing, talking or taking a photo. It uses AI services to estimate ingredients, calories and macronutrients, suggests daily targets, shows your history and trends, and includes a coach that answers questions about your food.
Estimates are estimates. They are produced by AI from your description or photo and can be wrong, sometimes by a lot. Check them, and correct them in the app when they look off. Don’t rely on them where accuracy is critical, such as allergies or medical diets.
3. Not medical advice
Know My Meals is a general wellness and tracking tool. It is not a medical device and does not diagnose, treat or prevent any condition. Targets come from a published formula for healthy adults and are a starting point you can change. The coach is an AI; its answers are general information and can be mistaken.
Talk to a doctor or registered dietitian before changing what you eat if you are pregnant or breastfeeding, have a medical condition (such as diabetes or kidney disease), take medication affected by diet, or have, or have had, an eating disorder. If tracking food makes you feel anxious or unwell, stop using the app and seek support.
4. Your account
- You must be at least 18 to use Know My Meals.
- Give accurate details and keep your sign-in secure. You’re responsible for what happens on your account.
- One person per account.
5. Subscriptions
- Know My Meals requires a paid subscription. You can choose a monthly or a yearly plan. There is no free trial.
- The price, billing period and what you get are shown in the app before you pay. Prices include VAT where it applies and may differ by country.
- You buy through the App Store or Google Play, and payment is taken by Apple or Google. You’re only charged after you confirm the purchase in the store. Their terms apply to the payment.
- The subscription renews automatically at the end of each period, at the then-current price, until you cancel. You can cancel at any time before renewal.
- If we change the price, we’ll tell you in advance, and the store will ask for your agreement where required. A price change never applies to a period you’ve already paid for.
6. Cancelling and refunds
- Cancel in your App Store or Google Play subscription settings (the app links there from You → Subscription). You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
- Deleting your account doesn’t cancel the subscription. The store handles billing, so cancel there too.
- Refunds are handled by Apple or Google under their refund policies. If something went wrong, email us as well and we’ll help.
- Your statutory rights, including any right of withdrawal you have as a consumer in the EU, are not affected.
7. Acceptable use
Please don’t:
- misuse, overload, reverse engineer or try to break into the app or its systems;
- use automated means to access it, or resell or share access;
- use it to break the law, or to send content that is unlawful or abusive;
- try to make the AI produce harmful content, or use it for anything other than your own food tracking.
We may limit or suspend accounts that break these rules, and will tell you why unless the law or safety prevents it.
8. Your content
What you log and write stays yours. You give us permission to process it only to run Know My Meals for you, as described in the privacy policy, including sending it to the AI services listed there. You can download it (You → Privacy and AI → Download my data) or delete it with your account at any time.
9. Our app
We give you a personal, non-transferable right to use Know My Meals while your account is active and these terms are followed. The app, its design, name and content belong to us or our licensors.
10. Availability and changes
We work to keep Know My Meals running, but it may sometimes be unavailable, for example for maintenance or when a provider has an outage. We may improve or change features. If we make a change that significantly reduces what you’ve paid for, we’ll tell you in advance and you can cancel.
We may update these terms. For important changes we’ll tell you in the app before they take effect. If you don’t agree, you can stop using Know My Meals and cancel.
11. Ending
You can stop at any time: cancel your subscription in the store and delete your account in the app (You → Subscription → Delete account). We may end your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, or if we stop offering Know My Meals. If we stop the service, we’ll give you reasonable notice and time to download your data.
12. Liability
We provide Know My Meals with reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for decisions you make based on estimates or coach answers, or for losses that weren’t reasonably foreseeable. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can’t be limited by law, such as for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or your mandatory consumer rights.
13. App stores
If you got Know My Meals from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies, alongside these terms. Apple and Google are not responsible for the app or its support; we are. If you got it from Google Play, Google Play’s terms also apply.
14. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by Dutch law. If you live in another EU country, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws where you live, and can bring a claim in your local courts. Please email us first; most problems can be solved quickly.
